Residential building at 87 Krunska Street is a medium scale apartment building located at the city center’s elegant street, with neighboring urban villas, mainly dating 1920-30’s. The building takes a prominent position on the corner of the block, and from one point of view it puts an ending to an array of buildings, and from another, it is a free-standing object.
The building was designed as cubical volume with a top extension, creating two volumes with a glass interlude in between. The ground level, reserved for commercial activity, and the interlude are both glazed, while the rest is designed as a monolithic white volume (Swissperal Eternit) cut by the window openings aligned with the facade. The building connects to the street through a little patio designed in a minimalist manner.
