House Bigovo 2, Bigova, Montenegro

454 ㎡

The newly designed house is freestanding on the plot in everything according to modern standards of bio-sustainable buildings and the spirit of climate change. Existing ground elevations and height differences in the location, as well as the obligation to connect with the existing house, have influenced the composition of the complex, both in the content and landscape design. The prototype of the architectural composition of the complex most definitely defines front facade of the building and supporting walls, resolved as a set of cascaded layers of the building and longitudinal support walls interconnected with spaces, plateaus, greened surfaces, stairs, and paths. The authenticity of the local ambiance, the spirit of the climate, was achieved using stone in various finishes and the applied style of the original construction method. In relation to the resulting dominant character of the architectural solution of the parts of the building and the floor, as a counterpoint to the achieved composition, the ending floor of the building is positioned so by its position, shape, dimension and finishing, becomes a characteristic architectural element, an accent in relation to the overall architectural expression of the complex.
