A complex, functionally, technically and technologically very demanding building, defined by corporative norms – identity, being conditioned by its surroundings and infrastructure, has been more an engineering than a design challenge. Standardized functional, structural, as well as aesthetic requirements had to be met in the most rational way. Using design determinants, through innovative solutions, the team of architects has put an author’s context in a typical generally recognizable product – the Volkswagen showroom.
